Mass of Eyes

A red fleshy mass covered in many hazel eyes that has a chance to spawn on the ceiling of any occupied facility or the reception room.

Mass of Eyes is a red, fleshy creature covered in hazel eyes that can spawn on the ceiling of any occupied room or the reception area starting Shift 2 in Animal Hospital (Anomaly). You'll get a 'Don't Look Up' warning flashing on screen along with a lighting change whenever it's present, and making eye contact with it drains your sanity fast — between 2 and 5 points every half second — while it rumbles and glows red.

Behavior

A red fleshy mass covered in many hazel eyes that has a chance to spawn on the ceiling of any occupied facility or the reception room. A 'Don't Look Up' text warning flashes on screen and the room's lighting changes when it is present. Making eye contact drains the player's sanity by 2 to 5 points every half second and causes the mass to rumble and glow red. The eyes continuously drip until soothed.

How to Respond

Give it Eyedrops to calm it down and make it safe to look at again (approaching while looking at it still costs sanity). Alternatively, simply avoid looking up, or check for its presence safely by viewing the room from outside through a window/door glass without entering.

Quick tips

  • Give it Eyedrops to calm it down; this is the confirmed way to make the room safe to look at again.
  • Even approaching the room while looking directly at the mass still costs sanity, so keep your eyes averted until you've soothed it.
  • The simplest counter is to just avoid looking up in a room that's flashing the 'Don't Look Up' warning.
  • You can safely check whether a room has one without entering by looking through the window or door glass from outside.
