Scissors is a cutting-tool treatment item in Animal Hospital (Anomaly) used for Surgery, and one of the five items — alongside Antibiotics, Scalpel, Transplant, and Organ — exclusive to Room 8's surgery mini-game rather than the normal Medical Wing rooms. It's specifically required during the Tendril-removal surgery mini-game in Room 8, where the correct item order is Scissors, Transplant, Scissors, Transplant, then three random Treatments. If a patient's tendrils emerge mid-surgery, the game immediately starts a second surgery with a death countdown attached and skips the usual IV Drops prep step, so don't wait for the normal cue before reaching for Scissors.

Tips & Strategy

  • Remember the exact Tendril-removal order if one emerges during a Room 8 surgery: Scissors, Transplant, Scissors, Transplant, then three random Treatments.
  • Outside of that specific mini-game, it's used the normal way for Surgery cases.

  • If the tendril timer runs out mid-surgery, restarting the surgery does not reset the 45-second clock back to full — it continues from where it left off, so move fast on the Scissors/Transplant sequence rather than restarting for a fresh timer.
  • Never shoot, tase, or offer coffee to a Tendril once it appears — the wiki documents all three as instantly killing the patient instead of helping.
  • Scissors is one of five Room 8-exclusive treatments (with Antibiotics, Scalpel, Transplant, and Organ) that never show up in the five standard Medical Wing rooms.
